Karthik Sethuraman is a Senior Software/SDN Architect for Optical-IP Development at NEC. He has extensive experience in architecting, designing and hands-on coding of control and management software systems for TDM, WDM and Packet transport networks. He has been active in Transport SDN field since its early days as co-editor of ONF Openflow Optical extensions and is actively involved in the standardization of the technology in the industry. Karthik leads the ONF Transport API (TAPI) project, a TST member of ONF OTCC & OIMT projects and an active participant in the ODTN project. Karthik also leads the MEF 3.0 Optical Transport implementation project and co-leads the LSO Legato & LSO Presto IPS/SDKs projects. Karthik has a degree in Computer Science and spent his early career in AI systems research.
